Volvo's new collision avoidance system, "City Safe," is raising the benchmark for driver- safety technology. The new collision avoidance system was designed with the statistics that roughly 75 percent of automobile collisions occur at or below 20 miles per hour in mind. The system contains an optical radar system to monitor traffic up to six meters ahead.
