Volvo Going Mainstream

Volvo is set to go "mainstream" according to the company's CEO Stefan Jacoby. He's announced plans plans to drop their ambitions of becoming a premium automaker, instead focusing on more affordable vehicles for the public.

Free Service on Certified Pre-Owned

Volvo his now offering free factory scheduled-maintenance packages to its warranty coverage on Certified Pre-Owned vehicles. The company's new Protection Plus+ coverage for used vehicles, and already includes "six years or 100,000 miles of zero-deductible replacement" or "repair for defective components, six year or 100,000 miles of roadside assistance, a Carfax buy-back guarantee, and transferability between owners."

Volvo Air Motion Concept

Volvo Hydrogen EV

Volvo's C30 DRIVe Electric concept will receive an additional hydrogen fuel cell to extend the EV's 94-mile range, according to the auto maker. This will create a hybrid hydrogen-electric plug-in. The fuel cell will add an additional (and amazing) 155 miles of range. What's really interesting is Volvo plans on sourcing the hydrogen from gasoline.
